Send me text message notifications from ProfitOps
By checking this box you agree to receive transactional text messages from ProfitOps: project status changes, work order updates, operational alerts, and HR and time-off notifications. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of using ProfitOps.
There is one opt-in method and it is web-based. Steps 1 and 2 are alternate entry points — a user may start from either, and both open the same consent dialog shown in step 3.
Default states — no consent control is ever pre-selected
Every consent control in this flow defaults to OFF or UNCHECKED: the opt-in toggle (steps 1 and 2) defaults to off, and the consent checkbox in the dialog (step 3a) defaults to unchecked with the Save button disabled. Any screenshot on this page showing a checked box or an enabled toggle depicts the state after the user has taken a deliberate action, shown to document the complete flow. The screenshots appear in chronological order below.
Step 1 — Profile tabThe user opens the Profile tab and finds the "Opt in to Text Messages" toggle. The toggle is off by default. Turning it on opens the consent dialog in step 3.Step 2 — Notifications tab (alternate entry point)The same "Opt in to Text Messages" toggle also appears on the Notifications tab, again off by default. On this screen the user can additionally select or deselect individual notification categories in the Text Message column. All text message categories are unselected until the user chooses them.Step 3a — Consent dialog DEFAULT STATE: checkbox unchecked, Save disabledTurning the toggle on opens the "Enable Text Message Alerts" dialog. The mobile number field is empty and the consent checkbox is unchecked by default. The Save button is disabled. No text message can be sent from this state — the user must actively enter a number and check the box.Step 3b — AFTER the user's deliberate action: box checked by the userThe user enters a mobile number and checks the consent box themselves. Only now does the Save button become active. The checked state shown in this screenshot is the result of the user's action in step 3a — the checkbox is never pre-selected. The full disclosure remains visible next to the checkbox throughout — it is not hidden behind a link.Step 4 — Policy documents linked from the dialogBoth links in the consent dialog are publicly accessible: the Privacy Policy and the Terms of Service. The privacy policy states that mobile numbers are not shared with third parties and includes the message frequency and message and data rates disclosures.Step 5 — Opt-in confirmedAfter saving, the toggle shows as enabled — this is the post-consent state, reached only through steps 3a and 3b above. Consent is timestamped and stored on the user record.
